I. Drive Kathmandu to Salleri / Phaplu and to the Kharikhola -How To Get To Mt Everest Base Camp

Drive 10 to 11 hours from Kathmandu to Salleri (2390m) by Private Jeep /Local Bus and further to Andheri Khola about 3 ½ to 4 hours if not raining, now a day it is possible to drive to Kharikhola from Salleri to catch the main Trail of EBC Trek from Jiri. It takes one additional walking day to the Lukla or Chaurikharka from the last Jeep station at Kharikhola. To boost the number of domestic and international tourists, the local Government of Solukhumbu has declared road access up to Lukla and Chaurikharka within two years, and taking action to implement of plan accordingly. We believe this project will be completed in time. This helps to reduce the dependency on the Lukla flight, would be less costly for everything, and can do Everest Trek whole the year due to not needing to wait for good weather to fly Lukla. II. Drive Kathmandu to Bambi Bhandar via Jiri -How To Get To Mt Everest Base Camp

Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m) - 6 to 7 hours

Best time to do Everest Base Camp

The best time of year to do the Everest base camp trek is two sessions; Autumn (mid-September to November) and Spring (mid-March to May). For the best mountain view with perfect weather, autumn is best. And spring is good for mountain views with rhododendron blooming.
