Overview

Renjo La Pass Trek is an adventurous journey in the Khumbu region. Renjo La Pass Trekking will take you to the top of Renjo La Pass, from where you can see a tempting view of the surroundings. The trail will include numerous ascending and descending paths through dense forests in the lower parts, picturesque villages, fine valleys, narrow paths, moraines, and glacial paths. Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trekking will present you with a surreal view of the Himalayas and Himalayan landscape. Renjo La Pass Trek itinerary will lead you to the Tibet Border. During the trek, you will get to witness panoramic views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Nuptse (7,861 m), Mt. Pumori (7,161 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Mt. Thamserku (6,623 m), Mt. Kongde (6,187 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201 m), and numerous other Himalayan mountains.

As you spend a night in various villages during the Everest Renjo La Pass Trek, you will get to experience the rich culture, tradition, and unique lifestyle of the locals. Sherpa and Rai are the main people who reside in these villages. They have their own set of practices, language, dress, and food. You will reach Gokyo Valley, where you will get to see striking views of Gokyo Lakes. These lakes have significant importance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Moreover, during Janai Purnima, pilgrims visit this place to bathe in the holy lakes. The temple of Lord Shiva, home to Vishnu, sits on the western corner of the lake. While staying at Gokyo, we recommend visiting Fifth Lakes and Gokyo Ri.

View from Renjora Pass

The Renjo La Pass trek is a challenging journey. There will be many steep sections on the trail. Plus, you have to cross-challenge Renjo La Pass as well. Therefore, a well-structured itinerary is needed to complete the Gokyo Renjola Pass Trek. We, at Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition, have crafted an itinerary for the Gokyo circuit trek through Renjo La Pass that includes ample acclimatization days and comfortable overnight stays. As the trail is demanding, you have to be in excellent shape to go on Renjo La Pass Trekking. Feel free to contact us anytime if you require any further information regarding the 12-day Renjo La Pass Trek cost.

Select the Best Time Before visiting Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek

The best time to go on the Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek is from March to May and September to November. Trekking in the Khumbu region reaches its peak during these seasons, resulting in a crowded trail. However, not everyone goes on the Everest Renjo-La Pass Trek because of its difficulty. The views will be clear, the climate will be pleasant, and the weather mostly remains stable in autumn and spring in Nepal.

What is the difficulty level of the Renjo La Pass Trek?

Often, those who are planning to do the Renjo La Pass Trek have a common question about the difficulty levels of Ranjo La Pass. Renjo La Pass Trek is an alternative choice for trekkers who have already done the Everest Base Camp Trek, except for the 3-Passes Trek. If you have already crossed Kongma La Pass and Chola Pass, you should not feel such a challenge for Renjola Pass due to the less vertical trail up to the top and wider paved steps that descend to the Marlung after the pass. It does not mean that the Ranjo La pass isn't hard; however, compared to the length of the Kongma La traverses or crossing the glacier on Cho La pass, this pass doesn't physically challenge the hikers.

Even while hiking up Gokyo Ri, you may find the vertical trail to be the most challenging, but you won't experience the same level of difficulty while trekking to Ranjo La Pass. Some trekkers start to walk from the Thame to cross the Ranjola Pass and for the Everest, Three Passes Trek, but according to our experience since 2000 and our guest feedback, we at Nepal Mother House advise you to cross from the Gokyo side to do the circuit via Ranjola Pass. You always need to respect nature, which means walking steadily and slowly and taking enough rest from the past.
