And Vade, the chairman of the company, said, “We bought two hot air balloons from Itali and spent six million rupees (Rs. 60, 000) each; each balloon afforded eight people in one flight. But we got a permit from the Civil Aviation Authority for five balloons. To secure our flight, local experts will handle ground handling while trained balloon pilots from India operate the trip. We have 25 employees and invested Rs. 15 million to establish Hot Air Balloon Company. To make the “Visit Year 2020” announced by the Nepal Cultural and Tourism Ministry successful, we are trying to attract international and domestic tourists to Nepal with our reliable services.
Nepal Hot Air Balloon Rides start every early morning from two places: Dhampus village and Landruk and will land at the banks of Mardi Khola and Hemja after an hour’s incredible flight above the snowcapped mountains.
