Overview

An easy hike around Kathmandu Valley offers distant views of snowy mountains, countryside lifestyle, and culture. If someone is traveling with children, families, and students and does not have enough time for longer trips in Nepal, Dhulikhel Namobuddha will be suitable.

This Around Kathmandu Valley Trek starts an hour's drive from Kathmandu city into the northeast to Sundarijal. Then ascend through the Sivapuri National Park and Mulkharka Village with an amazing Kathmandu valley view. It offers a Langtang Himalayan range in front of you, and many mountains in the Far East, including Mt. Everest, Manaslu, and the Annapurna range, are visible during the good weather on the western horizon. The Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trekking Trail expanded to Namobuddha, Panauti, and Balthali Villages, where you can see amazing legends related to the Buddha. Namobuddha is a good place for meditation and exploring Buddhism. Namo Buddha is a Buddhist sacred place; people believe that it is where Lord Buddha saved the life of a tiger dying from hunger.

Likewise, typical Newari villages have their own culture and tradition, and many temples (Shiva Lingam, Indreshwar Mahadev) can be seen at Panauti. Panauti is a sacred place itself, where many sages, including Gautam Rishi, meditated and lived. According to an ancient Vedic script, people believed that the entire valley of Panauti rested on a single stone beneath. From Panauti, you can drive back to Kathmandu for your destination.

Easy Nagarkot, Namobuddha Trekking takes you through typical Nepalese countryside and exposes you to the various ethnic groups of Nepal. Nepal Mother House Treks is glad to organize Around Kathmandu Valley Trekking for those travelers who are coming with small children or who suffer from altitude sickness but still want a Nepalese mountain experience. This can be conducted at any time of the year as a teahouse trek. We are sure; this is suitable for every individual and group traveler in Nepal.
