Sameer Thapa Magar was born in 2001 in Solukhumbu district at the foothill of the top of the World Mt. Everest (8848.86 meters above sea level). He has completed grade 12(higher secondary) from Janakalyan Secondary School at Baudhha Mahankal, Kathmandu.
Basically, he has been taking a training course to become a professional guide from the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) since 2024. Right now, he is a government-authorized trekking guide from 2024, but he has experience as an assistant guide and porter from 2018. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Korean.
As he has visited almost all mountain regions like the Everest region, including 3 Passes and Everest Base camp, Throng La pass, Annapurna base camp, Gorepani poon hill, Nar Phoo valley trek, Mardi Himal trek, Manaslu circuit Trek, Langtang valley Trek, Makalu Base camp, Tsum Valley, etc. According to a guest review about Sameer Thapa Magar, he has knowledge about trekking routes, altitude sickness, culture and religion, and good manners to appreciate hospitality, and is able to make satisfaction according to guest requirements and situation.
