Rupina La pass is off the beaten track in lower Manaslu, the highest elevation of this trip is 4,720 meters at Rupina La. Rupina La passes became a new popular destination after the motorable road was built at Annapurna. The trip starts at Barpak about a ten-hour drive from Kathmandu through the Trishuli river bank. Or drive 144 km from Kathmandu to historical Gorkha, the headquarters of Gorkha district. Then you will walk to the Barpak Village; where the late VC Capt. Gaje Ghale was born. Or you may end the trip at Arughat Bazaar Gorkha and reverse some parts of the Manaslu trekking Main trail; Philim, Tatopani, Machhakhola, and Soti.
