This is the second part of the Pashupatinath—Mankamana and Muktinath Darshan Yatra (Tour). It is believed that all miseries and sorrows are relieved once you visit this Muktinath Temple (Mukti = Nirvana or status of Liberty or freedom; Nath = God). The famous Muktinath Pilgrims Tour visits the Muktinath Temple, which lies in the Mustang district, situated about 18 km northeast of Jomsom at a 3800-meter altitude. The Hindu shrine pagoda-shaped Muktinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Set into the wall around it are 108 waterspouts from which to pour holy water; even during the winter, people also take baths here to wash out their sins (bad Karma). People believed that one should visit this temple after completing a pilgrimage to four special religious sites in India. Buddhists and Hindus both regard the Muktinath temple as sacred. The Jwala Mai temple nearby contains a spring and an eternal flame fed by natural gas underground, believed to be a real God. There is a world-class accommodation facility in Jomsom from which one can enjoy the remarkable natural beauty. The famous temple of Muktinath lies in the district of Mustang.

Muktinath is a pilgrimage place for both Buddhists and Hindus. It is situated 48 km northeast of Jomsom at an altitude of about 3749 m. Its main shrine is a pagoda-shaped temple dedicated to lord Vishnu. Behind the temple, there are 108 waterspouts cast in the shape of cow-headed pours holy water. Here, lots of pilgrims take a bath in the ice-cold holy water. The temple is situated on a high mountain range. During the festival of Janai Purnima, Hindu devotees gather here to pay homage to lord Muktinath. Another famous temple of Jwaladevi, the goddess of flame, is situated about 100 meters south of Muktinath. Now a day to Muktinath is easier to get from Pokhara to Jomsom by plane and take a horse or a 5 to 6 hours walk to Muktinath or drive by Bus or jeep from Pokhara to all the way Muktinath through Kali-Gandaki valley.
