Overview

Pashupatinath is one of the most important religious sites in Asia among Shiva devotees. It is one of the most famous holy sites among the four Hindus' most significant sites. Pashupatinath Darshan Yatra/Pashupatinath Holy Tour is one of the best destinations for those who want to pray to Lord Shiva for their pleasure. Not only that, Pashupatinath Holy Tour is ideal for investigators, religious researchers, and philosophers.

Pashupatinath Temple is the largest Hindu temple, and it is considered to be the holiest of all Hindu temples. This is a two-tiered golden temple with four silver doorways, hundreds of Shiva's shrines, and holy symbols. Pashupatinath temple is located on the holy river Bagmati, 6 km east of the center of Kathmandu. Only Hindus are allowed into this temple. People believed that this temple was built long before the Christian era began. With the exquisitely sculpted stone sculptures present, the Pashupati Temple's original beauty still prevails. Malla kings later renovated it. Thousands of Hindus come each year on the occasion of Shivaratri (in March), Balachturdashi (in the month of November), and Hariyani Ekadashi, which is the holiest day. During this tour, you will visit another Hindu site, the serene Budhanilkantha.

Then we will visit Doleshwor Mahadev Temple, located at Jangam in Sipadol VDC (Village Development Committee), in the southern part of Bhaktapur district. The annual religious excursion (Chardham Yatra); Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri Temples are the most holy places. Kedarnath is situated in the Himalayas in Uttarakhand Pradesh, India; it is one of the most popular temples among Hindus, where Lord Shiva is worshipped as a bull without a head.

The myth says Pandavas reached the Kedarnath to seek Lord Shiva's forgiveness for the loss of lives during the 18-day Mahabharata battle. But Lord Shiva denied the Pandavas and disguised himself as a bull. The Pandavas knew that the bull was Lord Shiva, and they tried to stop it by pulling the tail. In the meantime, the head got separated from the body and disappeared. The holy voice (Aakashvani), which is in charge of leading the Pandavas to the Pashupat Region of Nepal, where there are 64 Jyotirlinga (Idols of Lord Shiva), including Doleshwor Mahadev, finally helped them find their missing head.

For 4,000 years, people have been searching for the head of Kedarnath, who assumed the shape of a bull to avoid the Panch Pandava (5 brothers), the heroes of the Mahabharata. The search was declared over after Shree 1008 Jagadguru Bhimashankarlinga Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, the head of Kedarnathpeeth in Uttarakhand, officially spelled on August 22, 2009, that the Shivalinga worshipped as Doleshwor Mahadev in Sipadol village of Bhaktapur is the missing head part of Kedarnath. As proof, the holy man pointed out the amazing similarity in the traditions of the shrines in two different countries. See the official declaration and proof of Doleshwor as Head of Lord Kedarnath.
