Overview

The Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour package is a combination of mountain scenery, historical and religious sites, a World Heritage Site, and a jungle safari. Kathmandu is known as the city of temples, where every hundred-meter distance, the Hindu Devalaya and Buddhist Stupa consist from the fourth century. Chitwan National Park is the most famous in the world for the Jungle Safari Tour with one one-horn rhino and Royal Bengal Tiger. Similar to the birthplace of the Lord Buddha, “Lumbini” is a sacred place for Buddhists and tourists all over the world. A beautiful tourist city, Pokhara is the best destination to see panoramic mountain views, boating on Fewa Lake, and hiking in Sarangkot for sunrise and sunset views.

Your Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour starts from the capital city; visit World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. If you have more time, you may extend a tour for another day of Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing to Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square to observe Nepali sculpture and art from centuries. All places are listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Our professional tour guide will explain the history and related stories of each place. Then you will drive to Chitwan National Park for the 2-night, 3-day Jungle Safari tour program. You will see some of the rare wildlife, like horn rhinos, the Royal Bengal Tiger, and crocodiles with other animals during the elephant back safari. The native ethnic group Tharu’s Village tour, jungle walk, bird watching, cannoning, culture show in the evening, and elephant bathing and elephant back riding are the most attractive during the trip.

You may visit the elephant birding and crocodile birding centers also. The next part of the trip drives to Lumbini, “the birthplace of Lord Buddha.” According to the inscription on the stone pillar that the Mauryan Emperor Asoka erected in 249 BC, the Lord Buddha was born at Lumbini in the southern lowland of Nepal in 623 BC. The Lumbini is a sacred place for Buddhists from all over the world, similar to Mecca Medina for the Muslims and Jerusalem for the Christians. A hundred thousand tourists visit Lumbini every year. The main attractions here are Mayadevi Temple (the place where Lord Buddha was born), Ashoka Pillar, the sacred pond Pushkarini (where Maya Devi took a bath before giving birth to Buddha), and many Buddhist Stupa, Chaitya, and Bihar representatives from different countries around the world. The modern physical contraction in Lumbini by Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Germany, China, Vietnam, India, France, South Korea, Australia, etc. is also worth seeing.

The last part of the 9 Days Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour goes from Lumbini to Pokhara by tourist bus just near Palpa Tensen (headquarters of Palpa districts) and Nyanja. Probably Pokhara is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The Swiss geologist and a pioneer of Swiss development assistance, Dr. Toni Hagen, visited in 1950; he said Pokhara is paradise on Earth. A beautiful panoramic mountain view can be seen on the north side of Pokhara; it is amazing to view during sunset and sunrise time. Here are many lakes; Fewa Lake, Beganasa, and Rupa are the most famous lakes in Pokhara. You can go boating on the lake and observe beautiful mountain scenery on the Pokhara Sightseeing Tour. Tranquil lakes, city, mysterious caves, waterfall “Patale Chhaga," Tibetan refuge village, and kind, heart-friendly locals make your tour more meaningful. Sarangkot is the best place for the sunrise and sunset views with mountain scenery. The World Peace Stupa just above the Fewa Lake is another nice viewpoint. You may visit Mahendra cave, Gupteshwor Mahadev cave, Seti River George at Mahendra Pul, the International Mountain Museum, and Barahi temples during the Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour (choose a Jeep safari tour instead of an elephant ride). A 3-hour hike or drive 30 minutes to Sarangkot Hill is best for adventure activities like paragliding, bungee jumping, whitewater rafting, and a Jeep flyer.
