Overview

Enchantingly mystical land with a fascinated history to overview……………….

The Upper Dolpo Trek region is one of the magnetic areas comprising numerous huge mountains, such as Annapurna, the mountain crest, and Kanjiroba, among a few others. Their usual is the minor kingdom on the higher level, Dolpo, sometime recently. As this space has different mountains, the trekkers will feast on the beauty of this picturesque district. We’ve re-blotched the track as of late; hence, our trekkers won't pass up a major opportunity for any substantial part of this trekking space. In keeping with the investment of our visitors and trekkers from completely distinctive countries, we have a tendency to customize the trek to be loaded with wild remoteness, the perfect mountain view, and thusly the life sort of the local people and their pure and neighborly propensities. The Upper Dolpo Trek and the Dolpo Region Trek are two of the most fascinating trekking destinations around. One should come and explore in their footsteps to experience the freshness of this area.

This space has recently been trekked by well-known dispositions like Peter Matthiessen, the huge feline, and David Snell Grove, a Himalayan venture, which have helped the quality and fascination of Dolpo. The commitment towards this trancelike district by these names has given dissimilar recognizable proof to the track wherever the regular marvels on this space are almost always amazingly esteemed. Every essayist went to the Shey Gompa, to the north of the alluring Phoksumdo Lake at inward Dolpo. A few trekkers come here with a spotlight for this, but Upper Dolpo Trek has more in store than what visitors accompany to check. This puzzling land offers all the agreeable smoothness on the trekking track, which has the ability to certainly be a once-in-a-lifetime adroitness for all.

After arrival at TIA in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel for the permits and paperwork. The next morning, fly to the far western part of Nepal at Nepalgunj and the next day, fly to Juphal, where the Upper Dolpo Trek begins. The trail follows the bank of Sulikhola at Sulighat and heads to Kageni, Rechi, Amchi Hospital, and Ringmo village, where you can see the fascinating and tranquil Shey Phoksundo Lake. The basic tea houses are available until Ringmo, where you will have your meals at the same teahouse. You need a tented camp further to the Shey Gompa via Namgdalo La (5,350 m), Sela/Gela La (5,094 m), Namgum, and Saldang. It is possible to visit the Tibet border from Saldang within 2 to 3 hours of walking. Now the trail is heading to the Jyanta La (5,220 m) as the last pass of the trek and walking to Tokyu, Dho Tarap, Ghyamgar, Laina Odar, Khanigaon, Tarakot, Dunai, and back to Juphal, making one circle. So, sometimes the trekkers call this Dolpo Circuit Trek or Inner Dolpo Trek.

We, Nepal Mother House Trek Company, have a tendency to come here to help you join this staggering district in keeping with the length of your occasions and interests. The Upper Dolpo Trekking Permit is provided by us to our clients, as it is authorized only to a government-registered company.

67th Shey-Festival are Going to be held in Shey Gumba in September 2024

Shey Gumba celebrates the most important festival, "Shey-Festival," or Shelri Drugda (Crystal Mountain), every twelve years. This 67th Shey-Festival is going to be held from September 1st to 4th, 2024, at the lap of the Crystal Mountain (Shelri Drugd), with numerous spiritual and other programs. The last festival was celebrated in August 2012 at Shelri Drugda (Crystal Mountain).

According to the Tibetan lunar calendar, the different animals are represented by different years, such as the mouse, bull, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, monkey, monkey, bird, dog, and pig. This year, 2024, is the year of the dragon. Everey Dragon Year is the most significant pilgrimage year for Crystal Mountain (Shey Ribo Drugta), an elevation of 4,747 m at Dolpo. People from Shey Phuksundo, Dunai, and all over the Dolpo and from Nepal and outside of Nepal visit Shey Gumba to celebrate Fastivel.

The main attraction of the Shelri Dugdra (Crystal Mountain) festival is the teaching by great lamas and Rinpoche, along with cultural performances (Syabros), Phowa (Transference of Consciousness) and traditional games such as horse racing and archery. Some pilgrims circumambulate (kora) around Shey Ribo Dugdra (Crystal Mountain) barefoot.

As Shey Ribo Dugdra is known as the younger brother of Mt. Kailash, people believed that making a circumambulate (kora) around the Shelri Dugdra would purify the karma and cleanse sin and bad karma. His Eminence Kyapje Menri Ponlop Rinpoche and His Eminence Kyabje Gyangkhang Khentul Rinpoche opened the ritual events and teachings. The ceromoney end getting blessings (Wangs) from His Holiness Drikung Chetsang Rinpoche.

Likewise, during the festival, Dr. Sanduk Ruit, referred to as the "God of Sight" in the planate, will also walk Dunai to She Phoksundo Lake and take a helicopter flight to Shelri Ribo Dugdra (Crystal Mountain) and he will provide free eye clinics and eye surgery for many poor eyesight patients.
