Overview

To start, Rolwaling Trekking could be a sub-go of the Himalayan Mountains, set in the north-central Kingdom of Nepal and venturing into a south-central Asian country. The precise best mountain inside the Rowling trekking is Melungtse 7,181 m, which runs across the Tibetan characteristic. Gauri Sankar (7,145 m) is the second generally lifted peak and is uncovered on the Nepal-Tibet border. Concerning twenty kilometers to the northeast of the Rowling Himal is the Khumbu Himal, which unites Mt. Everest (8,850 m) and Cho Oyu (8,201 m).

The Rolwaling debilitation, which houses several small villages, and Bedding, the most discerning city in the region, limit the trek to the south. Access to the despairing and, in this way, the mountains of the movement is made by strolling through a longtime way schema beginning at Charikot (80 kilometers east of Kathmandu). A western Vogue trek from Charikot to Bedding can customarily take seven to 10 days. A legitimate attempt at Rolwaling trekking with an outside-style undertaking may be made through the Rolwaling Himal to cross the Tashi Lapcha La (5755 m) and into the Namche Bazaar. The trek should be fittingly equipped for focused snow and ice work, with no less than one climbing Asian inside the assembly. Yet you won't climb the mountain; a climbing permit is needed for Patchamo (connecting the Teshi Lapcha) to permit access to the higher part of the despairing on the far side of the Tsho Rolpa.

Rolwaling trekking begins from the Dolakha (Charikot), a seven-hour drive from Kathmandu. The route is to an incredible degree in general plot and used by guardians and shepherds raising to the charkas or brushing pastures at Bending. There is a customs check at Jagat wherever the climbing allows, which is vaguely analyzed. The Tsho Rolpa is an ice lake that terminal earth has called to her. The Tashi Lapcha La encounters these mountains by the foot inclinations of Patcham. The fall from the opposite viewpoint is steep and incredibly merciless through stone fields. Customarily, the way is troublesome to chase out till you touch base at Thyangbo Kharka on the track to Thame and immediately onto Namche Bazaar. From Kathmandu, over the Tashilapcha, and straight down to the Lukla strip, it takes eighteen days, not long after the unending look ahead to a flight again to Kathmandu. It’s possible to switch tracks; however, the climb up to the pass from the SoluKhumbu is amazingly steep and long. The pivotal settlement days all through this wild tract could be uncomfortable and baffling and better up.

Come and join Nepal Mother House for the exciting trekking journey to this region, Rolwaling, as we believe in providing the best services throughout the journey.

The road crosses the Sun Kosi river nearby Khadichour then it goes many through ups and down through the beautiful Nepalese countryside. Explore the surrounding area of Dolakha; located in this hill town station. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day Highlights

Our trek begins with a long descent to the river, through scattered villages and terraces. Afterwards, the trail crosses the tributaries of the Thamba Khosi River. The trail is pleasant as we gently gain height, following the river bank. After 5 to 6 hours, we stay overnight at a tented camp.

Day Highlights

We carry on along the north of Bhote Kosi River, along the bottom of its deep valley which gradually becomes a gorge with huge mountains on both sides. Then the trail crosses the picturesque suspension bridge and passes a few hamlets and villages. Occasionally it offers you nice views of the Gaurishankar (7145m). These lowland peoples are Hindu although can see some signs of Buddhism, with prayer flags and Chortens. We stay overnight at tent after the 5 to 5 ½ hours walk.

Day Highlights

Today, after having breakfast, we will walk about 2hours out of the valley to continue eastward. Then the path slowly increases in altitude on a striking slope, and later through the terraces to Simigaon is a Sherpa village, marked by its Tibetan monastery, perched above the houses on top of the hill. The walk for today is also about 4 to 5 hours to Simigaon.

Day Highlights

We start our journey after a hot breakfast. This is the day to enter the Rolwaling valley. Our trail goes through a gorgeous rhododendron forest and the path steadily climbs towards the Gyalche village. Finally, we descend back down to the river after 5 to 6 hours and set up the campsite on the Rolwaling Khola bank alongside a few tea houses.

Day Highlights

After having breakfast, we gradually climb the forested valley, with superb mountain scenery surrounding us. We arrive in at Beding in 5 to 6 hours walking. You must see the snowy mountains Melungtse (7181m), Rolwaling’s highest summit. While visiting remote village you can see people who resemble Tibetans. They will probably invite you to sample their chang (barley beer) or yak butter tea as per their tradition.

Day Highlights

Today, we have short walk. The trail takes us to Na, a tiny alpine hamlet only inhabited during summer months. Na is located in a beautiful valley overlooked by some very impressive peaks with Chobutse (6685m) and Chugimago (6259m). We stay overnight at Na after 3 to 4 hours walk.

Day Highlights

This is a rest day as well as an acclimatization day. We can either take a rest here or organize an excursion towards the Yalung La pass. For this, the path taking us to a vast amphitheatre at 4,900m, situated just below the pass, and lined with streams. In every direction we get a stunning view; eastwards the Yalung Glacier, south the Ramdung Peak (5930m), westwards the Yalung Ri (5630m), and to the north the summits of the Tibetan boarder.

Day Highlights

The trail leads us up to the dam that holds back the Chho Rolpa Lake. A Dutch team has made a vital contribution to prevent the lake splitting the thin moraine and flow down the valley. The trail steps forward along the south bank through its ancient route, marked on all maps, following the northern bank and passing through Chobu, which no longer exists. After a 300m ascent, we come across a disordered moraine area and scramble down. After a 6 to 7 hours walk, we set up our campsite in a sandy amphitheatre on the border, between the Tsho Rolpa and the Trakarding glaciers.

Day Highlights

Today the path plunges towards the glacier. This is a striking and vast rocky area that gives way, from time to time, to large segments of bluish ice. We struggle on towards a rocky spur, just beneath the Dolumbau glacier. It is now quite a venture to access the glacier. Then, we climb up a rock face to set a rope for the porters, helping them to scramble up the 160m before accessing the campsite area. This trip gives a fantastic panorama with the Trakarding glacier below and the great glacial wall of the Drolumbau glacier to the north side. The trek will 6 to 7 hours.

Day Highlights

After having hot breakfast, the route to get a foothold onto the Drolumbau glacier is tricky and fairly steep. The effort for today is rewarded by a unique view towards Tengi Ragi Tau (6943m), Bigphero-Go Shar (6729m), Dragkar-Go (6793m), and a background of myriad peaks towards the Tibetan boarder. Then the trek continues on steadily through moraines and gentle slopes, crossing, from time to time, some glacial areas. After 6 to 7 hours of adventurous walk our campsite is set up at about 100m below the Tashi Lapsa pass, just underneath an impressive rocky section coming down from the Tengi Ragi Tau.

Day Highlights

This is an easy and pleasant descent. Just before arriving in the tiny Sherpa village of Thame, the path follows eastwards over snow slope. The trail from here is well marked and continues its long descent down the upper reaches of the Thame Khola to Thengpo, with excellent views of Mt.Ama Dablam, Mt.Makalu and Lumding Himal above the Thame Khola, after an hour or more arriving at dozen or so shepherds huts that makes this place what it is. Another two hours of gradual descent will bring us to our end of our walk for today at the Thame Village and our first hint of trekker’s civilization since Beding. We visit an ancient and picturesque monastery perched on the hillside. The rest of the day, we can meet Appa Sherpa who might be talking about his numerous Everest summit experiences. Otherwise we can explore around the village. The trek for today is about 3 to 4 hours.
