Tilicho Lake has also religious importance for Hindus. Pilgrims from all around the world visit this lake to pray. Moreover, Tilicho Lake is believed to be the Kak Bhusundi Lake that is mentioned in the holy book of Hindus, Ramayan. As per the book, this lake was the place where Sage Kak Bhusandi first briefed the Ramayana to the Garuda, king of birds. Not only this, but it is also said that Kak narrated this story to Garuda in the form of a crow. As per the Ramayana, Lake Kak Bhusundi is in the south of Annapurna and north of Nilgiri, which means Tilicho Lake.
