Kumari is a live goddess. She is chosen among young girls through an ancient and mystical selection process. The Goddess Kumari is the human incarnation of the Hindu mother goddess, Durga. She is worshipped during specific festival times and makes public appearances at other times for a fee paid to her guards.

Then you will visit the Buddhist holy sites Bouddhanath and Swayambhunath after visiting Pashupatinath, a Hindu holy site. Here is the sacred Bagmati River and the big temple of Lord Shiva, Lord of all Creatures.  The riverbank is the Hindu cremation center.
