Regarding the Best View of Everest; you will visit the most popular peak Kalapathar (5,550m) is the best place and another point is the fifth lake at Gokyo. As you are curious to see Amadablam in the best view Tangbuche and Dingbuche are good places. But for the different view of Amadablam Nangkar Tshang Peak (5,615m) is perfect which is 2 hours walking distance from Dingboche. It is possible to use Drones in either place, for this you need to have to get special permission from the related Department of Nepal Government, aviation authority, or local authority. We are glad to organize for you.

Well, we have successful history even for the age of 67 years also, who had completed EBC Chola Pass. But it depends on every individual physical condition and the following day’s weather conditions. Normally, the Gokyo Chola Pass Trip can do even for beginner Trekkers because it goes gradually and sufficient acclimatization day before getting to the destination. I am sure that with my previous client’s history, and your physical fitness you will be able to complete it without any obstacles.

Thank you very much for your curiosity. Regarding the trip route; as my experience since 2000, the Chola Pass (5,320m) trek is much easier from the Gokyo side. I mean if there is more snow or ice on the trail to the pass, from Gokyo the steep descending part is less than from the EBC side. So, I put the trip itinerary from Gokyo first. But this is the only view of my experience; it might be dissimilar to individual trekkers. As Mt. Everest (8,848.86m) is top of the world, most trekkers are curious to visit Mt. Everest Base Camp at first. And another thing, according to the following day's weather and trail circumstances you can change the trekking route after Namche Bazaar.

Yes, it is mandatory to have travel insurance to do EBC Gokyo Ri Trek. Travel insurance makes sure you are safe in case of any emergencies. Travel insurance includes airlift, property loss, theft, and trip cancellation.

Yes, you can do Gokyo Cho La Pass Trek without a guide, however, this raises another question, is it safe to do Everest Chola Pass trek alone?

The answer is no. Even though you have a good map and weather information, still, you are not aware of the kind of terrain you will be walking in. Plus, the weather can change at any time. If you only want to walk then, you can take Gokyo Chola Pass Trek alone, but if you want to experience it then travel with a guide and porter.

They will inform you about the region, villages, its highlight, and stories. Moreover, Guides also have first aid training. They know how to handle emergency situations in the Himalayas.

During Everest Chola Pass Trek, you will be spending the night above 4,000 meters and reaching more than 5,000 meters. This means the climate and weather will be extremely cold and below-freezing point. Therefore, make sure to carry good quality thermal clothes with you. You cannot do Gokyo Chola Pass EBC Kalapathar Trekking throughout the year because the monsoon makes the trail slippery and winter is unbearable. Plus, the views are also not clear due to fog and clouds. The best time to do Gokyo Cho La Pass Trekking is in autumn and spring.

From Kathmandu, you will take a short and scenic flight to Lukla Airport. From Lukla, you will descend to Phakding. Further, by trekking through Sagarmatha National Park, you will reach Namche Bazaar. Paying a visit to Tengboche monastery, the trail will head towards the summery valley of the Khumbu region, Dingboche. You will then ascend towards Everest Base Camp via Lobuche and Gorakshep.

The next day, you will hike up to Kala Patthar's viewpoint to witness tempting sunrise and a 360-degree view of the Himalayas. From here onwards, the trail moves to Gokyo Valley crossing challenging Cho La Pass where you will see stunning Gokyo Lakes and spend the night in picturesque Gokyo villages.
