Except for travelers from India, Bangladesh, and Maldives, all other visitors need a Bhutan visa. You need to obtain Bhutan Visa clearance before arriving in Bhutan, which you can process through an online system by the tour operator of Bhutan, directly or through a foreign travel agent “Nepal Mother House Treks”.
Visitors from India, Bangladesh, and Maldives can obtain a visa or entry permit at the port of entry by producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6-month validity (Indian nationals may also use their Voters Identity Card (VIC).
Visas are only issued when you confirmed trip booking (20 % tour deposit mentioned on our page how to book) through a Bhutanese travel agency or International tour operator “Nepal Mother House Treks” has been made. At least four weeks before the trip start date, you need to submit the visa application. To apply for Bhutan Visa, you are required to send the photo page of your passport to us. If you do not have the visa form, just send us your passport details: Full Name, Nationality, Permanent Address, Occupation/Profession, Passport Number, Place and Date of Issue, Date of Validity, Place, and Date of Birth, and passport size photo by email.
Then, the visa will be processed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) once the full payment of your holiday (including a USD $40 visa fee) has been wire transferred and received in the TCB bank account. Once received the visa clearance will be processed within 72 working hours. The visa will be faxed to you for your reference and a copy will be sent to the visa officer at the entry point as well to the Druk-Air Bhutan Airlines, Tashi-Air Bhutan lines station officer in different country. Without the visa, you may not be allowed to board the flight Visa Information.
