Bhumlichok is a village development committee of Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal, with a distance of about 95 km on the way to the Prithvi Highway from Kathmandu. You must walk 3–4 hours to reach Bhumlichok. This is an appropriate location for visitors who would like to come from Pokhara, Chitwan, or Lumbini. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, it had a population of 3,545 and had 685 houses in the town. The geographical location of Bhumlichok is situated at an approximate latitude of 84.696171 and a longitude of 27.846639 in Bhumlichok VDC (wad no. 6, Gandaki Rural Municipality) of Gorkha District. It is located at an altitude of 287 m from the Trishuli River at Fisling to a 1652 m elevation at Bhairabi Tar (Pokhari Tar) from sea level.

Bhumlichok has a diverse culture and religion. Magar is the main population of this VDC, and Chepang/Praja, Gurung, Newar, and Chhetri are also part of this area. Therefore, the area boasts a diverse range of cultures, highlighting its cultural richness, a crucial aspect of rural tourism. The people of Bhumlichok can promote their existing culture as a product to both international and domestic tourists. The temples of Bhairabi, Bhairabi Tar, and Dudh Pokhari are cultural and historical attractions in Bhumlichok. Like in other parts of the country, Dashain, Tihar, Teej, Mage Sankranti, Janai Purnima, and Loshar celebrate with immense joy and pleasure. Similarly, people celebrate and enjoy other religious festivals like Buddha Purnima (Chandipurnuma) and Bhairavithan Mela. From Bhumlichok, one can see the incredible panoramic mountain view of the Dhaulagiri range from west to east Gourishankar, which includes the Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhere, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu Range, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Himal Range.

You can combine the Bhumlichok Bhairabi Homestay Trip with a 3- to 4-hour whitewater rafting trip in Trishuli from Charaudi. Bhumlichok Bhairabi Home Stay Trip Itinerary

Take a regular Tourist bus from Kathmandu to Charaudi about 85 Km, as Charaudi is well known for being the best white water rafting spot. We will enjoy rafting for about 1 ½ to 2 hours till Fishling on the way to Prithvi Highway and cross the suspension bridge on Trishuli River, Then walk to Bhumlichok (15km) 3 to 4 hours (normally for locals it takes 1 ½ hours) or if you do not like to walk, then you can drive 45 minutes to 1 hour by local bus or four wheeler truck to Bhumlichok. The host will heartily welcome you according to their tradition and culture with a cultural program; serve the meals whatever locals have. You are invited to join the cultural program in the evening. Day Highlights

Wake up in the morning for tea coffee and visit the Pokhari Tar, Bhairabhi Temple, the thrilling viewpoint Dhungagade for amazing mountains scenery and Mahabharat Parbat range, the beautiful valley of Bhudhi Gandaki, and the Trishuli River. Then back to the village to explore the nomadic ethnic group “Chepang/Parja” village. After exploration “Chepang/Parja” village back home stay places for breakfast and then a farewell program. Walk back to Fishling for 2 to 3 hours, then drive back to your destination Kathmandu.

Includes

  • Arrival and departure of all transportation (airport to hotel to airport).
  • You can arrange transportation from Kathmandu to Charaudi Bazaar/Fisling, Kathmandu by private car, van, or local bus.
  • Warm down with a jacket and sleeping bag for the trek.
  • The license holder is an experienced local guide with English-speaking skills who is friendly with their food, accommodation, salary, insurance, and equipment.
  • Porter (on a two-person basis) Max.20-25 kg. They also need to cover their food, accommodation, salary, insurance, and equipment costs.
  • If the group size exceeds 10 people, a Sherpa (assistance guide) will be provided. This does not include the cost of their food, accommodation, salary, insurance, or equipment.
  • I brought a duffel bag for the trek. It also included a first-aid medical kit for the child.
  • Charaodi to Fisling Rafting (life jackets) with lunch.
