The Panchase Danda (2,250m) is a religious site of significance to Hindus. It is an extraordinary combination of a long range of snow-capped peaks, crystal clear lakes, disorderly rivers with deep gorges, Buddhist monasteries, and picturesque villages filled with kind-hearted local people. The Panchase trail leads you for several days through non-touristy areas and many small villages so we will have plenty of time to take photographs and interact with the local people learning some Nepalese words. There are many different ethnic groups such as Gurung, Magar, Chetri, etc. along the trail but the Gurung ethnic group is the most densely populated in this area.
The Annapurna Panchase trekking possible observing authentic countryside experience through the large Gurung village of Arthur and continues to Karkinetta with basic accommodation. Then we trek to Kusma and catch a bus back to Pokhara. Alternatively, we can trek from Panchase back to Pokhara through the villages of Pumdi and Bhumdi and finish the trek at the famous peace Stupa above Phewa Tal. From there we can get to the hotel by boat. This type of trekking offers the experience of day-to-day Nepalese as it has been for centuries.
